The day before the hubster and I were thinking of something we could do together, just the two of us. We couldn't think of a thing. Since I was stalking A Cupcake for the Teacher and she managed to make a trip to IKEA, I thought why couldn't I.
I woke the hubster up
Ok, so here is the best part....I had only planned on getting a couple of things for our house and some things for my classroom. Whelp, we came home with a new 7-piece home office! First of all, the hubster and I never take spontaneous trips nor do we just spontaneously make large purchases that we don't take the time to think about.
Here is the before picture (Yikes!). I don't know how we managed to live like this for almost three years.
Here is the after picture. I have been bouncing around all day. I love me some organization!
The hubster has already been informed to keep his area clean or else! :)
I did manage to find a couple of things for my classroom but not as much as I had hoped for. I purchased this mini pocket chart. I'm thinking an organizer for my writing center?
I also purchased this hanging thing with numbers. I think this will be a great place to store "early finisher" work.
Now off to Target to buy two MATCHING rugs for our new home office!
I have only been to IKEA once but I did LOVE it. Your matching desks look wonderful!!! Did you eat at IKEA? They have great food too.

What a super trip! The Ikea I go to is 3 hours away, too. Worth the drive. Every. Single. Time!

April, We did not eat at IKEA but I heard their cinnamon rolls are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLoL! I love that I inspired a trip to Ikea! I have one that's 10 mins from me but I had just never been until this weekend... so fun!
